They believe socializing is effective in preventing Alzheimer's because it stimulates the brain and keeps them from becoming depressed. Find ways to socialize by making new friends, doing volunteer work, or becoming involved with a club associated with a hobby you are interested in. While medical personnel still can't prevent or cure Alzheimer's, you can take responsibility for your health by eating healthy, exercising your brain and your body, protecting your brain and staying mentally active. All of these things together may just help you slow Alzheimer's down. Javier Hernandez
