All women like to shop is a myth. Not all women do and it is usually because they have no idea what they should be buying for themselves. Until you know and understand what your body type is, you can bet you are going to have trouble shopping and finding clothes that look good on you.
If you are one of these shopping-impaired women, here’s some help you get you on the right track to figuring out what looks good on you.
Step #1 -- Strip Down
Yeah, I know. You don’t want to but wait until no one is home and then STILL lock the door. Now the really hard part. Stand in front of a full-length mirror. You can pretend it isn’t you standing there so just look at yourself from the neck down. Concentrate on the general outline of your body and think in terms of shapes and fruits. Are you:
An Hourglass?
If you’re an hourglass, you’re curvy, baby! Now, you might not be 36-24-35. You might be more like 42-39-42, but that’s okay. Curves are curves. We’ll take them anyway we can get them. Guess what, men will too. So congratulations.
A Triangle?
If you are a triangle, you have a large bust (congratulations again!) and a small waist and hips. In other words, you are an upside-down triangle.
A Rectangle?
Again, congratulations! Most models are rectangles. You may not have fashion designers beating your door down begging you to model their latest fashions, but who needs them anyway?
A Pear?
If you’re a pear, you have a nice slender neck and you widen out to nice generous hips. Nice hips can be a good thing -- congratulations.
An Apple?
Yes, apples are round but if you’re an apple, you will usually have nice slender arms and legs. Congratulations.
You can put your clothes back on now.
Please notice -- all shapes get a big "congratulations". That’s because no one is perfect and every shape, no matter what geometric figure or fruit you happen to be, you have your good points and qualities that you can concentrate on and flatter.
Step #2 -- Fashion Tips for Different Body Types! -- Show it Off Baby!
Hourglasses -- Live it up! Show off those curves with belts that show of your waistline and draw attention up to that chest.
Triangles -- Yeah, you know what to accentuate. Trust me, accentuate the chest and you might as well not have any other body parts.
Pears -- Pick out those pretty necklines that show off your graceful neck and shoulders and don’t go baggy on the bottom either. Put on a pair of pants or a skirt that hugs those hips.
Apples -- Apples always have legs "to die for" so go make somebody jealous. Show off those legs with short skirts and spike heels or a pair of sexy shorts.
See... you’re not so bad. Are you? Didn’t think so. It’s all in the way you look it.
