When it comes to bedroom design ideas, there are certain factors which are always there no matter what the use of the space is. Taking a look at the bare minimum design factor a space must have so that it can be called a comfortable and livable space.
Consider the proportions: The word "proportions" is always used in the design field. Every interior space which is being used must be proportionate. Proportions are extremely important in any design.
All 3-D objects have properties like length, height and width. When we factor in the 3-D portions along with the proportions of various parts of our bodies, we call this a proportionate design. For example, when we put handles on doors or windows we must do so in order for our fingers to fit comfortable around them in order to operate the knock with smooth one step action. Additionally, the seat of a chair must have enough cushion in order for us to be able to be seated comfortably.
Natural Light: There really is nothing better than natural light to fill a room. Since our Sun is the strongest source of light, it also offers a biological balance to our beings and it is essential to most living spaces and beings.
Ventilation: I am speaking of natural ventilation and free airflow in order to keep the room ambient temperature wise and also keeping it cleaner without relying on an outside ventilation system that pulls in dirt, dust and pollen. This is mainly obtainable by the rooms in the corners of the building which allow for 2 external facings or windows.
Easy Movement: Every room has entry ways and from that entry, the movement in and throughout the room must be easy and free flowing away from obstruction in order to provide the comfort of the room and not feeling cramped in that space. As well as the closets should be free of debris with easy access.
Living Room: Usually when we go to put things in a room we pretty much know where we want things to go and in what order, however, you should always leave space to be able to add to the room should the perfect piece of furniture be found, whether it be a single chair or a table, you will want to make sure you leave at least a little room to add one or two small pieces. Additionally, if at any time you will use a room as a guest room, you should leave space for the things they might bring with them.
