Is this difficult for your son or daughter to keep quiet and stay focused on one of the positions of yoga? Many parents will see this as almost impossible, but the truth is that practicing yoga will make you believe that anything is possible. Everything depends on the motivation, patience, persistence, and the combined effort of parents and the child's yoga teacher.
When my son can practice yoga
Our experience of yoga with children says the best age for a child to start with the exercises of yoga is from 4 years. At this age, children can understand what to expect and what is wanted of them. Yoga is indicated for all children. Its main objective is to seek balance and harmony, and the control of the sense of discipline. It is a good basis for a happy and healthy adulthood.

Resources and practice of yoga with children
The yoga classes associate physical and mental work. For children, the motivation is very important. As a result of this, it is desirable that in yoga classes there are not more than 15 children together. Children should feel very comfortable. They should wear loose clothing - light, comfortable, and which allow them to move comfortably. Classes should be held in a clean, quiet, ventilated, and quiet environment. You can use appropriate mats or mattresses where the kids can be comfortable with bare feet or wearing cotton socks.
Yoga can be practiced at any hour of the day, but the best time for practicing is in the morning. It is advisable to avoid eating solid food two hours before yoga practice.
Yoga breathing
Breathing is an integral part of yoga. To inhale and exhale by the nostrils is essential to children's ability to stretch and get the balance needed to begin practicing with the postures.
Once the group controls their breathing, the teacher will start with the yoga positions. The sense of positions is from external bodies, to calm the internal organs. With children, there are positions that go bad a little. Ideally, at first, it is important to learn to breathe, relax and then focus. For children, yoga should be practiced as though it is a game. Children should not be required to repeat a position again and again. That can become boring. Children should vary the positions and movements, slowly, and at a pace which ensures that they do not lose concentration. As we have said, morale and motivation are crucial in this regard. Respect, restraint, a positive attitude and being cheerful helps as well.
