Our desire for beauty is something we are born with as compared to something we learn. Most everyone will state that they do not care about looks overall, but actions do plainly show that society as a whole does most care about physical attributes people contain as well as the way people as a whole present themselves.
Primarily people who state that looks are unimportant are precisely the people who are slathering their faces with cosmetics as well as pillaging through their closets for that perfect outfit to wear. I find nothing wrong with this behavior, however, if someone is so unaffected by physical attributes then aren’t you giving out the wrong message when you perform such actions?
First start by admitting to yourself that beauty DOES matter to you. Admit that it’s ok to present yourself in a clean, confident manner. Some people live such hectic lives, it’s truly hard to take some time out of their busy schedules to pamper themselves or possibly perform those little "feel good" things for themselves.
These simple tips will be helpful in aiding you with not only feeling your best but looking your best.
1. Ensure you get enough sleep. This allows your body to recuperate as well as rejuvenate. Remember that lack of sleep does eventually perform wear and tear upon your body.
2. Eat a healthy diet. No one is stating that you have to turn into a health guru however, eating a balanced diet rich in fruits and vegetables as well as lean meats give your body the nutrients it craves. Do not skip meals. This can lead to binge eating. If you see that you are going to miss a meal, make sure you are carrying around a healthy snack in your purse. This will aid with your hunger from missing your meal.
3. Pamper yourself with a new hair style. Sometimes change is very good for our hair or touching up a great hairdo you already have will suffice. The key here is that you want to feel good about yourself. Obtaining a hair style which you are happy with is great for giving us a little pick me up.
4. Personal Hygiene. Our Hygiene habits do indeed reflect how we feel about ourselves. Make sure you shower minimally once a day.
5. Clothes. Wear your clothes properly and make sure they are wrinkle free.
6. Cosmetics. If you enjoy the look of cosmetics, make sure you wear cosmetics which are right for your skin tone. For example, if you are dark toned, do not wear foundations which are for light skinned women. There are many cosmetics out on the market, do your research and find out what types as well as brands are best for you as a whole. If you are not into wearing cosmetics, make sure you keep your face clean and moisturized.
7. Teeth. Brush your teeth minimally twice a day but preferably after each meal and don’t forget the dental floss. Some people judge others according the status of one’s teeth.
8. Display Confidence. Walk with confidence and a smile on your face. People who are in a happy disposition can be very attractive as well as inviting to others.
9. Composure. Keep your composure in sticky or very difficult situations. This is most definitely easier said than done, however, as a famous quote I once read states "The most regretted speech one can make is one made in anger".
10. Relax. Take time out for yourself. Life can be truly hectic and where it’s understandable we must stick to the grind, it’s also understandable to take some time out and relax. Give yourself a manicure or a facial. Buy a pair of new shoes or even take some time to meet your friends out for a drink. Know your stress limits and plan accordingly.
If you follow these tips, you should gain the balance you need in giving yourself a break when needed as well as feeling good about yourself. Only you know what is best for you. Know your limits and act accordingly. Take care of yourself and this will reflect your confidence which is needed within our every day life.
