How to Love Your Job
By Jason Ladock | Motivation | Unrated

Due to the latest economy crisis, I am sure many of you are contemplating on delaying your retirement. Before you do this, there is something that you must do. ENJOY YOUR JOB!

Most of us have been performing our jobs for quite some time, it is what we are use to, even if we do not enjoy it. Does it not make more sense to perform a job you actually enjoy?

Have you ever thought about the current job you perform and what if you perform your job until you die? If you cringe upon this thought, it is time for you to look for another job. Here are some reasons you should look for jobs you enjoy.

Having a job, you actually enjoy:

This makes your life much more satisfying. It is called "quality of life". Having a job you enjoy enables you to go to work happy as well as come home happy. There is no such thing as a perfect job however; you will be able to tell a difference in your overall mentality if you just simply enjoy your job.

I have had jobs in the past where upon something simple such as pulling into the company parking lot literally made me want to puke. You should match your job to your personality or what you enjoy doing; otherwise, you are going to be simply miserable.

Have you ever sat at work and came up with the exclamation, "I quit"! Be careful with this exclamation. Have a plan before you jump out the door from your current employer. This alone could create even more stress within your life, especially with the current economic crisis within our country.

Many books are available to aid you with this process. Life coaches are great as well, if you have the extra funds, they are not cheap. You need to seek the help of whatever will aid you in discovering the kind of work you would enjoy.

When you perform a job, you truly enjoy it shows in your work within the professional work arena. Enjoying your job truly makes a difference.

How does this affect my coworkers?

People in general like to work with happy people. If you are performing a job you love, you will do it well. Clients will take notice of your happy demeanor therefore allowing you to excel with your job. If you enjoy your job, your coworkers will more than likely enjoy working with you.

Be honest with yourself:

You can continually lie to yourself about loving your job. You are not guaranteed your job for the long term regardless of the fact if you love your job or not. When you love your job, you can find other ways to continually doing it.

Do the type of job you love. Take advantage of the benefits this offers alone. This will enable you to not only thrive professionally but also emotionally.
