Hairstyles to Fit Your Face Shape
By Jason Ladock | Hair Care | Unrated

When you are looking for a great hairstyle, you want to make sure that you aren't choosing the wrong hairstyle for your face. It is very important that you choose a hairstyle which will compliment your faces shape. If you choose the wrong one then you will leave the salon upset. It doesn't matter what the hairstyle looks like on someone else, if they don't have the same face shape as you then it is not going to look near the same way on you. You will want to keep that in mind when you are going through the books looking for a hairstyle. Look for the styles on those women that share your same face shape. If it looks good on them and they have the same shape to their face as you do, then it should look good on you too.

If you have a round face then you will want to stay away from long and medium hairstyles, they will add to the roundness of your face. You should consider a shorter hairstyle that comes down a little longer as it comes toward the front. This will look good with your round face. A line hairstyles are great for people that have round faces.

If you have a rectangular face then you will also want to stay away from long hairstyles. A short or medium hairstyle will look the best on you. You can also get a light perm, but you won't want to do a heavy and very curly perm. Stay away from getting bangs, they will box your face in and should be avoided.

If you have a long and thin face then you will want to stay away from shirt hairstyles. You will look better with long or medium hairstyles. You can get away with a perm and you will look good with layers. You are also fine to get some bangs, they will compliment your faces shape.

If you happen to be the lucky owner of a heart shaped face, then you are able to pull off any hairstyle out there. People with heart shaped faces look good in almost any length of hair and can pull off almost any hairstyle, this includes straight or curly hair. You can feel free to pick any style in the book and claim it as your own. A heart shaped face is the only face shape that has the flexibility of choosing any hairstyle and having it look good on them.
