Fighting Swine Flu: Immune Strengthening Foods

So why are people always panicking nowadays? Oh yeah, the swine flu, you can’t turn on the TV or radio and not hear about this problem. Since there aren’t any vaccines or preventing medicines out, how would you defend from the swine flu? Well one simple thing that you can do is strengthen your immune system in order to lessen your chances of contracting this flu. The things you should start doing right away are: washing your hands frequently, eating a healthy diet, and getting plenty of rest, basically whatever your mom told you to do when you were a child.

Try not to stress out too often also, because studies show that stress really puts a lot of strain on your immune system making you more vulnerable to this flu. You should do more of things that help relax yourself and get plenty of sleep. Things in your diet can stress the immune system also like sugars, and refined flours. So try avoiding consuming too much oils and fatty foods in your diet. Eat more vegetables and fruits as these give you tons of vitamin C, which really helps to boost your immune system.

You can also take vitamins that you can get at your local drug store. Because vitamin C is an antiviral and an antioxidant, it helps to protect your cells from viruses and chemical stress. Vitamin A also helps to boost immune system but is often neglected by people. Research can confirm that viruses and bacteria really does lower the levels of vitamin A within a human. So get a sufficient amount of vitamin A also, but too much of it can become toxic.

Preventing Swine Flu

Because of the media spreading the information of swine flu, many people are panicking on what to do. So first things first, please do not panic, it is the last thing you want to do. The swine flu has been blown way out of proportion, because 250,000-500,000 people die from the regular flu every year. If this flu really does become widespread I would recommend that you do not depend on vaccines, because vaccines can actually give you the problem instead of preventing it. One very good way of defending off the swine flu would be to stay healthy!

Every day chew on 2-5 cloves of raw garlic, as this really help strengthen your immune system and protects you from pathogens such as the flu. You can chew the garlic with some water in your mouth and swallow after.

Consume plenty of vitamin C! You should consume around 6-12 grams of vitamins C because this also helps to strengthen your immune system and prevent viruses from entering your body. Eat lots of oranges and drink lots of 100% juices to get a lot of vitamin C. You can also get a juicing machine and start blending up fresh fruits and vegetables in order to give your body all the nutrients that it needs.

Always keep your body clean and free from nasty substances. So when you shower, wash your body thoroughly. Also keep washing your hands frequently with plenty of anti-bacterial soaps.

Reducing Your Chances of Catching Swine Flu

There has been a lot of news and reports from the media about the swine flu outbreak. And many are panicking about this swine flu. Here are some simple ways to lessen your chances at getting this flu:

1) You should always have a healthy diet. Have a diet that is rich in green vegetables, fruits, healthy fats, and lean meats. This is one of the best ways of preventing diseases.

2) Take nutrient supplements everyday that have zinc, iron, and omega 3.

3) Always drink lots of water. Drink plenty of water because you body needs to refill the water that is lost throughout the day through sweating.

4) Fast or detoxify yourself occasionally. You should not eat many processed foods since they have lots of additives and preservatives. Your diet should always be full of natural foods so that your body can detoxify itself. You should fast every once in a while in order to clear up your digestive tract.

5) Get plenty of exercises every day. Always get some fresh air and take some time out of your life in order to do some exercises. This will lead to a stronger immune system to fight off diseases. Also get plenty of sleep in order to fully rest your body and mind. Exercising has plenty of benefits to it and you will soon appreciate it.

So as long as you do these 5 steps, then you should look forward to a better and healthier body, and also have a lesser chance as contracting the swine flu.
