Who doesn’t love to have a bright, younger looking skin? Very few of them enjoy it due to lack of proper skin care. Skin care specialists say that no special skin treatments are essential if the food we take is well balanced with all essential nutrients. Another important requisite for bright skin is consumption of excess water to maintain the moisture content of the skin. However, no one follow healthy eating habits, and hence the following are some of the skin care tips. These are not very time taking to practice and will fit well in your busy routine.

• Apply a sun-screen lotion whenever you go out in sun, especially if you have sensitive skin. This will prevent sun burns that later develop in to scars in some people. Another solution to protect skin from the sun is by covering. Prefer to dress in light colors that reflect the light rather than absorbing. This will reduce the impact on skin.

• Reduce the extent of smoking and alcohol consumption. This will reduce the free radical formation, which in turn reduces the risk of developing age spots at later stages of life.

• Have foods rich in vitamin C and E that are potent antioxidants. These will eliminate the free radicals off the skin and reduces the chances of developing skin cancer.

• If you have dry skin, apply moisturizer before you go to bed regularly. Just clean your face thoroughly and apply the moisturizer. Be careful in selecting an appropriate moisturizer that best suits your skin.

• Teenagers have the problem of pimples due to hormonal changes. Though they cannot be avoided completely, number can be reduced by keeping the face free of oil by washing frequently and then drying with soft cloth.

• Skin generally develops wrinkles with age. It can be postponed by regular application of collagen based creams that compensates for the reduced production of proteins like elastin.

• It is suggested to have a good amount of fresh fruits and vegetables that are rich in vitamins and minerals. If you cannot make it up naturally, have supplements. Acai Berry is an excellent fruit with great antioxidant properties. It can be said as a fruit to enhance your beauty.

• Keep yourself free of stress. Stress gets reflected in your face very easily making it look pale and dull. Skin underneath the eyes turns black, and wisdom lines appear at very early age. Practice of yoga not only relieves you from stress but also reduces the amount of free radicals.

• Have proper night sleep.

• If you are on a weight loss regime, do it at a slower pace to avoid formation of skin wrinkles. However, losing great number of pounds at once will have worst effects on overall health.

• Consume at least 8 glasses of water daily. In summer, it is essential to consume more amount as great amount of it will be lost in the form of sweating.

• Do not make extensive use of cosmetics. If you wish to use, make sure you go for branded companies rather than cheaper products just to save few bucks.
