Acne Prevention Tips
By Mark Perry | Acne | Unrated

The scientific name for acne is "acne vulgaris" and it is an epidemic throughout the world where the lives of many people have been considerably changed due to this. It normally occurs to people with harsh or oily skin, and as a result these people tend to lose their confidence and self esteem. You would also get easily frustrated if every single person walking past you on the side walk would look around and stare at you. Most people wonder if they could have controlled this problem when it was about to start for them, and fortunately you can, if you know why acne starts in the first place.

Some factors that are the cause of acne are primarily out of your control, especially in the case of teenagers, because acne in teenagers is mostly due to the hormonal changes in them. For the others however, acne can be prevented with following three simple steps. These steps are mostly lifestyle changes that we have to go through to ensure that we at least do our part in preventing acne. Some important acne prevention tips are as follows:

1) Stress plays the prime role in causing acne. Stress causes your body to produce more hormones than usual, and as by-product, sebum is produced. This is an oily and sticky substance that renders the skin oily, and therefore helps in the development of acne. Avoiding stress completely can be hard for most individuals, so I suggest that you at least distress yourself by utilization of tools of relaxation such as yoga, meditation etc. Keep yourself distressed as far as possible, because it will help you prevent or at least reduce your acne.

2) Exercise is recommended for people and it is highly recommended for the people who are facing acne problems. Exercise improves the blood flow in your body and hence keeps your skin cells properly oxygenated at all times. It is also good to sweat a lot, because the tiny pores in your skin get cleaned out, resulting in a healthier skin which repels acne to a great extent. The over production of hormones due to stress can be rebalanced by regular exercise and hence exercise can also contribute in lowering the effect of stress factor. Exercise also causes toxins to be released by the body in the form of sweat, which are another great cause of acne.

3) Diet is also an important factor in preventing acne. If you consume too much of the wrong types of food, you could end up getting acne in an early stage. Foods contribute a lot to the health of your skin, so you might want to focus on that too.

So I hope these acne prevention tips will help you preventing or at least reducing your acne problem.
