Caring for Roses in Your Garden

Roses are everybody’s favorite. No body will ever say that they do not like a rose. How about growing roses in your garden?? Isn’t it exciting? Just imagine roses growing in your garden and giving off beautiful view and fragrance. But it is not everybody’s cup of tea to grow roses in their garden successfully. If you also wish to grow some roses in your own garden then we are here to help you out. You have to keep the following things in mind to grow roses in your garden. If you will follow these suggestions then there is no way that you will not be able to grow them of your own.

Visit a near by nursery ask about the rose that will easily grow in the type of soil that you have. Get all the information that is necessary for growing that rose. Now buy the one which has no disease and is also resistant to diseases. Also purchase the pesticides that will be required in growing them successfully. Ensure that the rose you have chosen always grows nicely. Sunlight is every essential for a successful growth of a rose. It needs a minimum of six hours of sunlight to stay healthy. It is therefore recommended to create your rose garden in that area which receives at least this much of sunlight. But also make sure that your rose does not have to face the extreme sun rays of the noon.

Soil should in accordance to what a rose needs. For a successful growth of a rose plant a soil which is acidic and which has a good system of drainage will work well. Also make sure that PH of the soil is 5.5 or something close to this. If it is not close to this ph then you can add ammonium in case your soil’s PH is very high. Ammonium will bring the PH down. In case your soil’s PH is very low then you should add lime. Lime will increase the PH. Sunlight, PH, and good soil is not the only conditions that should be available for a rose but a rose also needs fresh air.

Your garden should be at such a place where the rose can receive fresh air. Before you plan growing a rose in your garden make sure that your soil is ready. Add manure, compost and other necessary nutrients in the soil for good growth of rose. This step should be completed at least a week before you have planned to plant a rose in that garden. When you will start planting arose you will dig out the soil to comfort the rose roots in it. So the hole should be such that which takes it up very smoothly. The soil that you took out from the hole should be used in covering that whole.

After all this do not even think that your job is done. Now you have to keep watering your rose and provide it with food regularly. Sunlight, water, fresh air, compost and manures should be provided to the rose adequately. Without these raw materials your rose will not blossom well. But if you will take care of these things your rose will surely grow healthy.
