Natural Detoxification Helps Your Body Heal Itself
By Mark Perry | Fasting Cleansing | Unrated

Human body contains harmful waste that is not good for the health, and also end up hampering the detoxification mechanism of the human body. This could be due to antibiotics overdose, toxins and pesticides present in food and water, allergens, additives, artificial colouring and preservatives used in various foods and other external factors that we are not really conscious of.

Some of the organs in the body are vital in neutralizing the toxins and completely eliminating them out of the human body. Liver filters out the harmful waste from the human blood stream. Lungs help in purification of inhaled air and removing toxic gases, carbon dioxide and dust. Kidneys dilute toxins, eliminate harmful substances from blood and removes excess water from the human body. Skin also helps in removing toxic waste through dead cells shedding and oil secretion. Gut separates the harmful waste in the stomach and sends it to the liver where this gets processed further. Bowel functioning is highly crucial to excrete the toxins from the body and preventing them for reabsorbing into the blood stream.

Hence, in order to maintain good fitness and health and restore the working condition of the body, it is advisable to follow a health regimen to enhance the functioning of the organs and carry out natural detoxification.

Here are some simple tips to regularly detoxify your body:

• Fresh juice from lemon diluted in water (16 ounces) and sweetened with stevia (a natural sweetener containing probiotics that promote the growth of friendly bacteria in the intestines).

• Apple cider vinegar (1 – 2 tbsp.) diluted in water (16 ounces) helps to detoxify kidneys. Use the organic version of the vinegar for best results.

• Regular exercise regimen would involve sweating out waste from the body enhancing the function of the lymphatic system which removes toxins from the body and builds stamina, general fitness and immunity.

• Fibrous food consumption on a daily basis helps in the functioning of colon which could eliminate toxins from the body. Both soluble and insoluble fibres should be consumed. Some examples of soluble fibres include legumes, psyllium, skinless fruits and vegetables and oatmeal. Insoluble fibres include various fruits and vegetables containing skin, seed and whole grain varieties.

Before taking up a serious detoxification regimen which could run up to duration of a few days to weeks, consult a health care professional on whether detoxification would suit your body and if it has the necessary stamina to combat and adapt to an aggressive change in the normal food routine.

Some of the more advanced detoxification regimens include:

• Juice fasting

• Lemonade diet

Other general tips for natural healthy detoxification includes:

• Simple lifestyle changes which could lead to better stress management like quitting smoking and drinking, including breathing exercises in your exercise regimen, going vegan, avoiding junk food especially with preservatives and artificial flavours and drinking plenty of water to keep your body hydrated.

• Healthy balanced diet which would nourish the body with vital nutrients and also help in the normal functioning of the organs.
