Detoxifying involves eliminating the harmful toxic waste that accumulates in our body over time. It is due to many external factors like ingesting allergens, antibiotics overdose, heavy metals consumption like mercury through certain sea food, pesticide content, water contamination with harmful chemicals, additives, alcoholic beverages, preservatives, certain types of medications and a few cosmetic products like hair dyes and hair sprays.

• Lemonade diet. This is one of the best detoxification methods for colon cleansing. It is advisable to consult a physician before taking up this regimen

• Juice fasting. This helps in flushing out the toxic waste from the system and cleans up the gut, bowel and kidneys

Some of the simple lifestyle tips which help in natural body detoxification include the following:

• Nutritious and nourished meal. The regular meal that you consume should provide your body adequate vital nutrients and also include fibrous content that help in flushing out the waste and probiotics that promote the growth of friendly bacteria in the intestines

• Go organic. Try and avoid food with preservatives, artificial flavours and additives. Organic foods like herbal juices, teas, natural fruit extracts are always better than the aerated or carbonated beverages

• Avoid caffeine. Beverages containing caffeine like coffee and tea increase the amount of toxic waste in the body

• Quit smoking and drinking. Smoking and drinking can have you an unbelievable amount of harmful waste to the body and can cause a lot of disorders due to the abnormal functioning of the organs

• Water consumption. Ensure that you keep your body hydrated by drinking plenty of water. This would also help in enhancing the functioning of kidneys since it is crucial in removing excess water from the body and flushing out the harmful toxic waste

• Sweat out your body. Following a good exercise regimen can help your body to secrete a lot of harmful substances through sweating. The skin also secretes unwanted waste through oil secretions and shedding the dead and dry skin
