Recipes for Gas Grill Cooking
By Jonathan Pitts | Cooking | Unrated

If you like to cook the fast way, you might want to get hold of some recipes for gas grill cooking. These are simple and healthy recipes for you to enjoy:

a. Curried fruits

1 can (29oz) peach halves

1 can (20oz) pineapple chunk

5 maraschino cherries sliced

1/3 cup margarine

3/4 cups brown sugar

2-4 tbsp of curry powder

Drain all the fruits and put in a skillet. On a separate pan, melt the margarine; add the brown sugar and curry powder. Mix well till slight syrup is formed. Spread the mixture on top of the fruits; make sure that it is spread evenly. Cook on gas grill for about 20-25 minutes or until the top of fruits is bubbly.

b. Barbecued potatoes

You can choose medium sized baby potatoes, about 8-10 pieces. Wash very well and pat dry with paper towels. Using a fork, pierce gently into potatoes to make several small holes. Then rub with butter or margarine. Wrap each potato in heavy duty foil. Cook potatoes in high heat for about 20-30 minutes. While cooking, turn the potatoes several times so they don't get burned. To check if your potatoes are cooked, gently poke with a fork to see if soft. If so, then take them out of the grill, slice into halves and season with some salt.

c. Fish / white fish like Trout

Turn the grill to high. Prepare fish by cleaning and washing it well. Put some salt and some dill sprigs on fish and squeeze some lemon on it too. Put some butter on fish before putting it on an open foil on the hot grill. To check if fish is cooked, use a fork and gently poke the flesh of fish. You can also lower the heat if slightly brown edges start to form on the flesh.

d. Chicken

Get 6-8 slices of chicken breasts halves without the skin. Rub with 3 tbsp of olive oil, black pepper and some thyme leaves. Refrigerate for at least 6 hours or if you can, do it overnight. Just remember to take out the chicken from the fridge at least an hour before cooking. Grill the chicken for about 6-10 minutes per side. You can brush the chicken with some barbecue sauce to make it more flavorful.

There are still many recipes for gas grill cooking. It is a good method of cooking in almost everything, from chicken and fish to fruit and vegetables in a more convenient way.
