It is found that people even suffer from cramps in the chest part or the pelvic region of the body but that is very rare. Mild cramps with not too high intensity are caused mainly because of gas or different viral gastroenteritis. In some of the most serious cases such as appendicitis or even colon cancer, mild pain can come up or sometimes there is no pain at all. There are a few things responsible for abdominal cramps like the lining of the stomach getting inflamed, menstruation with more pain, light food poisoning, normal diarrhea and gastrointestinal upsets due to a lot of stress but all these cannot be said life threatening or too serious.

Some vital causes of abdominal cramps include appendicitis, food poisoning in a larger quantity, poisonous reactions in the gall bladder, ulcerative colitis and infections caused by harmful parasites, all these need immediate attention and treatment otherwise can be life taking.

People often try to cure and avoid abdominal cramps by staying at home. People often freak out and cut down their diet after a light pain and vomiting that should not be done. Once the vomiting stops you should start consuming lighter diets, it does not matters if the abdominal cramps are still there. Antacids should be added up to first aid boxes and be taken in cases of intense pain or after food if heartburn or indigestion is experienced.

Things like fruits containing citrus, fried meals, food high at fats, alcohol, tomatoes, tea and coffee should be avoided at all costs in order to get rid of abdominal cramps permanently or at least for long. Tagamet, Zantac and Pepcid are the H2 blockers that can be consumed time-to-time. Do not intake any drugs without consulting a physician or the case might get worse. Simply put yourself on a balanced diet schedule having loads of veggies and fruits plus increase daily water quantity you drink.

Avoiding food will promote gas so eat light but regularly. Adding some kind of an exercise will do it all to fight something like abdominal cramps. Abdominal cramps are something not very serious but cannot be ignored as well.
