Useful Tips for Planning Your Wedding Invitations
By Jason Ladock | Wedding | Unrated

Wedding is the most important phase of one’s life which marks a new beginning; a new life to share with a soul mate that you can trust and love. Everybody strives to make their wedding the most memorable event ever, and hence I have some tips to offer here about planning your wedding invitations.

The wedding invitation card is the best way to express the theme of your wedding, and of course it informs guests about the time and place of wedding. Moreover, it also gives the guests a sense of warmth and welcome and so they feel compelled to attend. So make sure you follow these guidelines, which are sure to get you started on your wedding invitations.

1) It is common sense that the most basic reason for giving out wedding invitations is to determine the amount of guests that might be attending your wedding. This is very useful when you book your reception hall and make catering arrangements so that you do not find yourself anticipating less number of people than the actual. Therefore, including a reply card in your wedding invitation is fairly important, and its importance cannot be overly emphasized.

2) It is common knowledge that weddings are supposed to be a formal gathering and hence people come dressed accordingly. However, if you have a special theme for your wedding and want people to dress accordingly, make sure that you state the same in your invitation card. You wouldn’t want some of them turning out the way you want them and then some turning out in nice formal dresses.

3) Making the invitations personal can really add a nice touch. You could try signing your name out on each one of them, or type personal invitations based on different people you know, like your co-workers, family, family friends, casual friends, neighbors etc. However, if you are having a large event, you might want to print them out through professional printers.

4) Vibrant colors can really add to the feel of your wedding invitations. It is commonly observed that wedding invitations are mostly done in white, off white or light cream colors. You could deviate from the tradition to add the personal look.

5) Make sure that your wedding invitation has YOU in it. It should be a reflection of you and your spouse. You would also want to make the wedding invitation fit the theme of your wedding, so people might know what to expect. You don’t need to stick to the tradition if you aren’t happy with it.

Above mentioned are some useful tips for planning your wedding invitations. Follow them and make you wedding invitation memorable and attractive.
