To enjoy the summer, it is best to have a frozen drink by the poolside or enjoy sipping it at your deck. The frozen drinks go by different names like frosties, tropical, smoothies, frozen daiquiris and a lot more. No matter what you call them, all they need is ice, a blender and you can be assured that you will be refreshed with every sip on the hot summer day.

Here are some of the best non-alcoholic frozen drink recipes that you can try at home.

Recipe 1: Banana Smoothie

Ingredients:

• Honey - 1/2 cup

• Vanilla extract - 3/4 tsp

• Sliced bananas - 2 large

• Vanilla flavored yogurt - 1-1/2 cups

• Ice

Preparation:

Now, start mixing all the ingredients in the order that they have been mentioned in a blender. Start the blender at a low speed and then slowly increase the speed. Mix the ingredients in the blender until it becomes smooth and can be sipped. You can also opt to add 1 oz banana liqueur.

Recipe 2: Strawberry Frosties

Ingredients:

• Lime juice (fresh) - 2 teaspoons

• Frozen strawberries (fresh) - 2 cups

• Vanilla ice cream - 2 cups

Preparation:

Now, have the limejuice and the strawberries added in the blender add the ice cream and start the blender. Remember to keep it at a low pace in the beginning and increase the speed gradually. Once the mixture is smooth, pour it in two glasses and garnish with strawberries. You can also top it up with some strawberry syrup.

Recipe 3: Margarita Mocktail

Ingredients:

• Sour drink mix - 1/4 cup

• A splash of lime juice

• Lemon or orange juice to give the recipe a different taste

• Ice

Preparation:

Add all the ingredients in a blender and mix until it becomes smooth and icy. Pour out the drink in a glass and rim the glass with some margarita salt. Garnish it with a slice of lime on the rim and present it.

Recipe 4: Ginger Mint Mocktail

Ingredients:

• Crθme De Menthes syrup - 1 tablespoon

• Fresh mint

• Ginger ale - ½ cup

• Crushed ice

Preparation:

Add the crushed ice to the glass in which you wish to serve the drink, and then add the Crθme De Menthes syrup, to this add the ginger ale and then drop in fresh mint. Stir the ingredients until they are blended well and serve.

You can have your own mix and match of fruits and ingredients to try out new recipes of frozen drink. You can try out mixing chocolate syrup in yogurt with ice or add coffee to it. While making these frozen drinks make sure that you first add the liquids and blend them well, and then add the frozen fruits. Most of these frozen drinks have frozen fruits as their main ingredient so it will help you get the consistency. Add the ice only in the end so that the drink is chilled when you have it.
