Your Mid-Summer Skin Update
By Terri Ballerson | Skin Care | Unrated

Well here it is early August, and whether we like it or not the summer is almost half way over. You have experienced plenty of sun, trips to the beach and if you are lucky, a full blown vacation with the kids. What is probably not on your mind is the mid-summer check up on your skin. This not a common practice by all consumers, but it one that each and every one of us needs to do to keep ourselves looking our best. We all know the summer causes serious damage to our skin, but how well we react to that damage is what ultimately leaves us looking prematurely aged. The author examines the need for a mid-summer skin update as well as the treatments like wrinkle creams, most effectively used in the healing of environmental damages commonly associated with the summer months.

Most of us are aware of the fact that the sun causes damage, but we do not always associate the summer as the most dangerous time of year. Or we know enough to wear sunscreen and we will use after sun lotions but not actually treat the damage that has been incurred. Not only is sunscreen an important part of your summer skin routine, but anti oxidant, therapeutic facial cleansers should also play a large role in the process, along with other protective and healing products like wrinkle cream or anti aging gels. But in order to know which products and treatments are best suited to your particular needs.

While spotting the damage that is caused throughout the summer is much easier for some people to notice than for others, it is something that we all must do. Look for noticeable darkening spots of the skin, not because they are cancerous but because these sunspots will continue to darken over the years until they result in unsightly brown spots all over your skin. Also take note of any severe sunburn that you have received, especially to your face as this can cause a swollen, collagen free skin condition that results in sagging and premature aging as the condition worsens. Leaving these skin conditions untreated is the worst thing that you can do for the long term treatment of your skin.

We often think of the summer as "the only time that we get some sun" and while this is true for many of us, we get this sun year after year and unfortunately by the time we are in our early thirties we have absorbed so much damage that our skin will most definitely age prematurely, unless we do something about it, that is. By stopping mid-summer to examine and diagnose the issues that your skin is having, you are able to treat the damage and protect your skin from premature aging, something that we all fear or at least dread once it shows on our face.

By finding dynamic age defying serums that use the best ingredients, like Renovage, you can protect your skin from the discoloration problems that are common with sun exposure. By using a therapeutic facial cleanser that not only nourishes the skin, allows for active ingredient absorption, and provides anti oxidant protection, you have reinforced the sunscreen and more effectively protected your skin from the very damage that causes the problems. Combine those two products will a deep moisturizing wrinkle smoothing cream and you have the perfect recipe to keep your skin looking great for years to come. The sun is very damaging to your skin, but that does not mean you need to hide out and avoid it, enjoy the rest of your summer, but do so wisely. Take the time to treat your skin, so that environmental damages do not wind up causing serious damage to your skin.
