5 Tips on How to Get Pregnant Fast
By Stan Tian | Pregnancy | Rating:

When you and your partner make that huge step and decide to try for a baby, you'd rather not spend too long considering that you might be trying for a while. It's not unusual to find healthy and fertile couples who have still not conceived after 8 months, but luckily there are ways you can learn how to get pregnant fast, and we've put together five of them.

1. Overall health

Like anything in human nature, our bodies will tackle the more serious problems and neglect those which aren't essential to our health. If you are drinking and smoking then your body will be constantly trying to repair the damage those things do to our cells and your reproductive health can suffer. Try taking regular but light exercise (twenty to forty minutes of walking each day, for example) improve your diet and give up caffeine, booze and cigarettes. Not only could you get pregnant a lot faster but you'll be a fitter, have a more comfortable pregnancy and be a more energetic parent too.

2. Timing

If you haven't worked out your ovulation cycle yet then it's time to do so. Ideally you should be having sex no more than once a week during the times when you are least fertile. This keeps the man's sperm fresh but not exhausting the resources either. When you reach your most fertile period then have sex around once every day.

3. Don't wee too quickly!

Often when we have sex the g-spot is stimulated and the pressure put on this area also makes us feel like we need to urinate. It's tempting to go to the toilet right after sex but studies have shown that waiting 5 minutes can improve the chances of fertility.

4. Friendly environment

A vagina can be quite a hostile environment for sperm if something isn't right. PH imbalances and yeast infections can mean that sperm don't live long enough to reach the egg and therefore conception simply won't happen. Try not to use scented soaps or tampons if you're susceptible to thrush or cystitis and if you do feel pain when you urinate or itching then visit your doctor who will be able to clear up the problem quickly and easily with a course of antibiotics.

5. Male health

If the man in the relationship is doing a lot of cycling he could be severely damaging his chances of becoming a father. Of course the damage is only likely to be temporary but in order to conceive it's better to do exercise such as running or swimming instead. He should also be giving up drinking, smoking and caffeine with you if you are to optimize your chances of fast conception.

Learning how to get pregnant fast requires taking a lot of different factors into consideration. Once you make these small changes in your life, however, and implementing them becomes habit rather than a chore you should both find that soon you are making a far bigger one; becoming parents.
