Cranberry Jello Salad Recipes

Cranberry jello salad is not what you might remember as the sweet dish that used to be your favorite. It is a different version of the cranberry recipes and does not have the cranberry sauce with the usual sweet ingredients. If you are looking forward to make something different with cranberries then here are a few recipes for cranberry jello salad recipes. Recipe 1: This recipe is for making 12 servings.

Ingredients:

Sugar-free cranberry, cherry, black cherry or raspberry jello: 1 large package

Walnuts: 1 cup

Fresh cranberries: 2 cups

Apple (cut into small pieces): 1 medium

You can also add orange (optional)

Preparation:

To make this cranberry jello salad, first prepare the jello according to the instructions that are mentioned on the pack. Cut the walnuts in the food processor and keep them aside. Now, put the cranberries in the food processor and chop them. Make sure that you chop them one cup at a time, and once it is done, remove it aside. Do the same with the apples and mix all the fruits together with the walnuts. Once the fruits and walnuts are mixed evenly, add them to the jello and refrigerate to chill. Your cranberry jello salad is ready to be served.

Recipe 2:

Ingredients:

Fresh cranberries: 1 bag

Yellow apples: 8

Crushed pineapple (drained): 1 can

Sugar: 2 cups

Strawberry jello: 3 boxes

Hot water: 2½ cups

Preparation:

To make this recipe, grind the apples and the cranberries in the food processor and keep them aside. Take the crushed pineapple can and drain it well. In a saucepan put the water, and on medium flame melt the sugar and the jello in it. Remove the pan from the flame after the ingredients have melted and add the fruit mix to this hot jello mixture. Transfer this jello fruits mixture to a serving bowl and refrigerate overnight. You can serve it chilled whenever you wish to.

Recipe 3:

Ingredients:

Boiling water: 1¼ cup

Strawberry jello: 1 (3 oz.) pkg.

Jellied cranberry sauce: 1 (16 oz.) can

Apples, (unpeeled cut into pieces): 2

Mandarin oranges: 1 (11 oz.) can

Walnuts, chopped: ½ cup

Preparation:

For making this cranberry jello salad, take the jello first and dissolve it in boiling water. Make the cranberry sauce smooth with a fork so that there are no lumps. Add this cranberry sauce to the jello mix and blend them to make a smooth paste. Pour it in a bowl and refrigerate to jell. After the jello is ready you can cut the apples and drain the oranges. Add the nuts and fruits to the jello and chill until you are ready to serve the dish.

Making the cranberry jello salad is easy. However, you should be careful while making the jello and make sure that you have added the appropriate mix so that it jells properly. Wait for the jello to set perfectly and then mix it with the fruits. The cranberry jello salad is one of the best desserts that you can serve for an occasion.
