Easy Memory Training

Do you keep forgetting to switch off the lights before leaving the house, or forget your keys or your phone everywhere? Well, you are not the only one who is going through this problem. It is a common problem that is seen in people. However, there are a number of methods that can help you increase your memory. These memory-training tricks are easy and you will definitely see a change in your behavior in a few weeks time.

• Start with putting up things to do list right next to your mirror. Mirror is one thing that everyone sees no matter how forgetful they are. So, put up a list near the mirror and as long as you are standing there, keep an eye on what are the things that you have to do on that particular day.

• Set a reminder on your phone. If you have a fixed time to leave the house everyday then you can use this method. When you are about to leave, your reminder would beep and will let you know what to do before you leave the house.

• Stick notes on your main door towards the inside to check the switches, iron, or to pick up your keys. This can be quite effectual in helping you remember small things from your daily schedule. You can follow the same when you are at your workplace.

If you are a student and memorizing things for you have become difficult, here are some effective tips to help you train your memory.

• Take up the easiest subject first and the chapter that is easiest for you. Start with the first page and go through the entire chapter. Now turn back and go to the first page and see how much you remember.

• Make small notes against each topic that will remind you of what are the main points in the paragraph, and the next time that you read that chapter you can go through these points and remember what the essence of the paragraph is. Once you have completed a section go back again and revise it.

• Put up some colorful sticky on every page or use markers to mark important points and flip through the pages every now and then to check how much you remember.

• You can also make charts and small notes and put them up on your study desk. This will be helpful even when you are not studying. You can keep going through these points and come back and check how much you remember.

• Always make it a point that you go through the chapter or paragraph on the next day what you have done on the previous day to check how much you remember. This will help you not only memorizing the subject well but you will gradually see that your confidence and level of grasping has also increased.

Apart from these points, there are many exercises that can help you improve your concentration and also your memory. You can make a small dot or a point and keep looking at it for five minutes in the beginning to improve your concentration, gradually increase the time. Concentrating on a candle flame can do the same. Improving your memory requires will power and boosts your confidence. Apply the tricks mentioned above and you will surely benefit from them.
