As wound naturally heals, it is man’s nature to disregard it especially if it’s just an ordinary type of wound. • Semi-permeable - This is composed of a sterile sheet; it is transparent which allows you to check on the wound regularly. It can be suitable for shallow wound.

• Hydrocolloids - It is available in many forms and can cover larger wounds.

• Hydrogels - Composed mainly of water in a composite network.

• Hydrofibre - It’s a soft non-woven pad that interacts with wound drainage. It provides a moist environment for deep wounds that needs to be sealed yet air can penetrate.

It’s really important to take care of wounds, because accumulation of bacteria can cause severe infection that can result to fatal outcome. There are different types of wound dressing that can accommodate the different types of wound. No matter how severe your wound is, you shouldn’t have to worry because there are dressings that can help you lessen the risk of having infections.

You should always consult your doctor of symptoms persists; severe wounds should be treated properly with the right amount of pain reliever and antibiotics. Antibiotics can help and prevent the wound from getting worse and it also stops the spreading of bacteria that causes infections. Though there are home remedies and herbs which can help you regarding putting first aid on wounds, you should not use it consistently, and you should seek for your doctor’s advice regarding the proper caring of the wound. You should also eat nutritious foods so you’ll be able to keep your body nourished and well hydrated. Having enough vitamins will help you heal the wound in a quicker time possible.
