How to Have Beautiful Hard Nails

Fingernails and toe nails are product of protein called Keratin. Its growth slows as one ages. A sudden change in the appearance, texture and color of the nails can be a sign of illness. Having healthy fingernails is not as hard as you think when you know you are eating the right diet; you don’t have to worry about your nails. Here are some tips that you can use to maintain healthy nails;

• Keep your fingernails clean and always dry.

• Avoid nail biting.

• Apply moisturizers regularly.

• Lactic acid prevents cracking, you can use it often.

• File your nails in one specific direction.

• Don’t remove cuticles too deep, this can cause infection.

• Don’t dig and remove ingrown. If they are bothering you, seek for the help of a dermatologist.

• Avoid using acetone.

• Have your own manicure set to avoid infection.

• Avoid using artificial nails, this can trigger bacterial infections.

• Eat nutritious foods.

• Drink vitamins.

• Drink lots of water to keep your nails hydrated.

Having a healthy nails is also important, it’s like an eye which is the window of the soul, fingernails also signifies the importance of a healthy living. Having a discoloration with your nails may mean something is wrong in your body. When you see something unusual with your nails, go and see a doctor. Here are some of the most noticeable disease which you can see signs on your nails:

1. Nails with bluish tint may mean having a lung problem like water or polyps.

2. Changes in nails’ texture and color may mean hepatitis, heart disease and lupus.

3. Pale and whitish nails may mean anemia.

4. Splitting of nails may mean psoriasis.

5. Red nails may mean heart problem.

6. Dry, brittle nails may mean having a thyroid problem.

These illnesses may be avoided if you always check your nails. You know what changes takes place within your body, whenever you see unusual thing, you should always check it with your doctor. Nail structure is not associated with your bones, it’s just a myth that you should not take seriously. What is true is that vitamins and minerals are associated with your nails. Severe malnutrition can also be seen in your nails. You can consider the following so that you will have a better and healthier nails:

• Wear rubber gloves every time you do the laundry, long exposure to water and detergent can harm your nails.

• Use your fingers not your nails in getting things, it will break your nails if you use it for picking.

• Carry a band aid all the time, this is just an aid if your nail cracks, you can use it to cover it.

• Always keep your nails polished with nail hardeners or nail vitamins. It will help your nails to be healthier and harder.

• Clean your nails often, this will help you have a better and healthier nails.
