This process usually happens when a person reached a certain age, when his health hinders him to work properly and personal reasons arise. There are many reasons why employees leave their job, whether he was forced or not. Here are the top ten reasons why employees abandoned their job:

1. When an employee is subjected to a forced retirement. According to one of the most recent study conducted by Sun Life financial, about 20% of American workers are forced into premature retirement because of layoffs, cutbacks, and shutdowns.

In this age where future social security is on the rocks, people find themselves getting half of their expected savings and investment will suppose to go upon their retirement. Workers have to know their rights and obligations to protect themselves from discrimination. The Age Discrimination Employment is a law created to protect older Americans from unlawful discrimination because of old age.

2. Stressful environment on the workplace can also be one of the causes of early retirement. Sudden increase of workload, relocation, and change of shifts are some of the stressful event that can trigger a decision on premature retirement. Common cause of unintentional separation is when the location of an office was relocated outside the commuting area of the employee. Relocation and change of shifts can be one of a qualifying reason to retire.

3. Occurrence of healthy problems of the worker or within the family. If the employee is needed by one of his relatives to act as a caregiver for the sick member of the family. Health problems that can hinder the worker to perform his duty within the company.
