One of the best foods that man has ever discovered is honey. It is all natural and contains a lot of vitamins and minerals that are good for overall health. Honey is also an important ingredient in most beauty regimens, most especially for hair. Honey has a lot of nourishments and beautifying ingredients that are good to nourish hair. It can retain water and this makes it as a good moisturizer for the hair and for other parts of the body as well.
The use of honey on hair can come in the form of shampoo or conditioner. It can be combined with other natural products to come out with healthier hair. These are some methods to effectively use honey as part of your daily hair care:
1. One tsp of honey mixed with a mug of water washed on your hair after the last rinse would result to shiny and softer hair.
2. To treat split ends on your hair, you’ll need the following:

Beat the egg yolk and mix with honey and olive oil. Part the hair into sections and massage mixture onto hair and scalp. Cover hair with shower cap for about 30 minutes. Then rinse and shampoo hair.
3. Honey to prevent hair loss. Make a paste by combining 1 tbsp honey and tsp cinnamon powder. Apply this mixture on the scalp for about 15 minutes; then rinse and shampoo. This is good to nourish and clean the scalp.
4. Honey is also used to treat colored hair. It can keep colored hair to look shiny and alive because of its revitalizing properties. Just put enough honey in a squeeze bottle, squeeze honey on hair roots and make sure to gently massage with your fingers until the honey is fully saturated into the hair. Leave it on for about 20 minutes then shampoo.
One of the easiest method to use honey as an effective hair treatment is by combining it with olive oil and a mild shampoo. This results to soft and shiny hair without entanglements as you dry off the hair.
