How to Stop Cat Urinating on Bed

There are few things that you should know why cats urinate on your bed and not on their litter box. Most of the time, this incident starts a tremendous relationship between the owner and the cat. Of course, being the owner, you want your home to be always clean and free from animal’s unwanted stuff. Then animal such as cat started invading your privacy, you tend to lose charisma to this pet. This can be a start of abandonment and negligence among owner and pet.

You need to know why your cat stepped out of his/her litter box and urinate on your bed instead of their normal urinating device. These reasons can be any of the following:

1. Medical ailments

2. Territorial marking

3. Behavioral issue

You need to know that when a cat is trained to urinate and move their bowel in a urinating box, they will do it for the rest of their lives unless there’s something wrong with them. There are only 1/6 of cats that are having urinating problems. When your cat stepped outside of his litter box and start urinating on your bed, it might be a signal that there’s something wrong with them. It might be their way of calling your attention.

When this situation arises, you need to seek for veterinarian’s help. They know best about animals, they are the authority to turn to. But, here are some of the possible reasons which you can refer to:

• Being heavy can be a problem.

• A cat with arthritis. Because of painful joints they are lazy to step into their litter box.

• Try to have a box in every location of the house.

• Cats mark their territory; they tend to put feces and urines when as a sign of territorial management.

Managing your cat can be very daunting, but when you have learned to understand their signals in catching your attention you can easily understand why they are invading your privacy. Make sure that you discussed such instances with their veterinarian. This way, you will be lead consequently. Please take time to take your cat on a doctor, regular check up will make them easily understood. It is important for your cat to have a good relationship with you. You can easily understand every signal they make once you’ve learned to memorize their ways.

Cleaning your cat’s feces and urines can be very irritating. You need to have the urge to find out why they are doing this to you so you’ll lessen the tension around the house. Cats can be a nice pet. Sometimes, they didn’t mean to do harm to humans.

But, they need to do it to catch attention. You need to be aware that you can have a good relationship with them once you’ve learned to understand them fully. There are certain medications you can use to lessen the stress among cats which can also cause frequent and mismanaged urination. You should talk to their doctor.
