Acid Reflux Foods to Avoid

There are certain foods that can triggers heartburns. Acid reflux is the abnormality in the esophagus; this is commonly due to the barrier between the stomach and esophagus. Most of the time, there are certain foods that can contribute to the effect of acid reflux within the body.

There are certain foods you need to avoid because some foods contribute to heartburn easily. You can refer to the following food that commonly causes heartburn and they are the ones you should avoid:

Fruits

• Orange juice

• Lemon juice

• Lemonade

• Grapefruit juice

• Cranberry juice

• Tomato

Vegetables

French fries & raw onions

Meat

• Ground beef

• Chicken nuggets

• Sirloin

• Buffalo meat

All these foods triggers and contributes to acid reflux. There are certain types of foods that contribute in the malfunctioning of the digestive tract. The best way to avoid unwanted result of acid reflux is by avoiding the foods that triggers it. Although, there are certain types of no prescription drugs that can help you from suffering, it is better to know and be aware of the food that makes you suffer.

Acid reflux is caused by undigested foods inside the digestive tract. When the food you need enters the stomach, it needs to be broken down into pieces. When the food is not digested properly, it will not be distributed to other parts of the body and the acid will go back to the esophagus causing acid to come back. When the acid builds up, it will cause irritation into the lining of the esophagus and eventually makes the person irritated and suffer.

It can be hard to determine acid reflux causing foods, but you can lessen it when you know how to eat right and have a proper combination of healthy foods and vegetables that can help you with your concerns. Since the root of the problem is eating so much, you need to avoid it especially during the night time. This will trigger the acid from coming back especially when it’s not digested properly.

Doctors and health providers suggest that after eating, people should wait for about 3 hours or more before lying down in bed. Obesity is one major cause of acid reflux, the body is not functioning well and it causes the foods to be stocked and not properly distributes in every part of the body that needs it.

Living a healthy life and practicing to eat properly will contribute to a healthy and normal life. If you want to be free from ailments, you should always follow the general guidelines on how you can be healthy. You will also lessen the possibility of spending a lot from medicines since being sick is very expensive these days.
