How to Reduce Inflammation

Many scientists today are tracking inflammation with a wide variety of medical conditions like joint, muscle and bone inflammation, respiratory inflammation caused by some allergens in the air, cardiovascular diseases, and diabetes. Excessive smoking has been linked to worsen inflammation most especially in the lungs. If you are a chain smoker, you better quit now before it’s too late.

By practicing a stress free life, you can also avoid having inflammation. Techniques in stress management can be very helpful in reducing occurrence of inflammation. Deep breathing can reduce stress as well. Just by simply being an overweight can trigger more inflammation. Start having a more sensible diet now.

Having a diet plan can make your drastic change easier. Exercise 30 minutes a day may help you slow down the accumulation of inflammation in your body. Eliminate your unhealthy choices of foods. Some of these unhealthful foods can add other kind of inflammation in your body. These foods like processed foods, foods that are rich in Tran’s fatty acid and refined sugar can make thing worse than ever.

Apply good oral hygiene, just floss once a day and brush your teeth after every meal. Eat foods that are high in antioxidant to improve blood circulation and metabolism. These antioxidants will naturally lessen the inflammation in your body. By eating 5 to 9 serving of foods that are rich in antioxidants will help your body fight certain dreadful diseases such as cancer, gastrointestinal disorder, and hypertension.

Here are some examples of foods that are more likely to have high antioxidant properties you should eat:

• strawberries

• blueberries

• raspberries

• grapes

• prunes

• broccoli

• papayas

• cantaloupe

• carrots

• pumpkins

• apricots

• tomatoes

• virgin olive oil

• dark chocolate

The general rule is to eat fruits and vegetables that are brighter in color to reduce inflammation. The brighter the color of a fruit or vegetable the higher antioxidant it contains. Turmeric powder can also be used as an alternative to relieve inflammation. It is a spice that has an earthly taste. Turmeric powder has curcumin which in recent medical study found out that those men who eat foods with turmeric powder has lower chances of having prostate cancer.

Always remember that processed foods do not have any antioxidant content, even some other processed foods claim that they have. They only likely to have more trans fat and saturated fat, these fats can actually increases your inflammation inside the body.

Some products claims that they are zero trans fat but do have saturated fat. It is definitely a big mistake because saturated fat is just similar as the trans fat. Saturated fats can be converted into a trans fat when subjected to other major processes inside the body.

Water can aid digestion during the digestion process inside the stomach. Free yourself with pressure and stress. Lesser amount of stress means lesser amount of inflammation will accumulate in the body. Seek some medical advice with your doctor for further diagnosis regarding your inflammation.
