The prom is one of the most exciting and most memorable events for young people in their high school years. This is the time of their life when they get to put on makeup, style their hair, wear fabulous outfits and party among themselves. This night is supposed to be a date night so most boys and girls are excited to be each other’s date for this prom. For some who are in a dilemma of finding a date for this night, there are good reminders to consider in resolving this problem.

• Try to ask among your friends who else do not have a date for the prom. If you are all date-less, you should go to the prom as a group who still wants to have fun and just enjoy the prom.

• You can ask someone else outside your circle of friends. It may be a casual acquaintance in school that you may know or someone else in class that may not be part of your group.

• It would be good to ask your friends if they have cousins or other friends who would be willing to be your date for the prom. There is a good probability that you would get a date because young people like to go to proms to have fun.

• If you already have a steady boyfriend or girlfriend, then you have no problem about your prom date. But, in case you are still thinking of some ways to find your date to the prom, you may want to consider some other important points to make you and your date enjoy the prom more.

• Ask someone you already know. These are your regular circle of friends. Ask your friends if you can have their sister or brother to be your date to the prom. If you have friends who are not your classmates anymore but you still get in touch thru Face book or other social networking sites, you can also invite them to go with you to your prom night.

• You can ask somebody from your church group or congregation to go with you to the prom. At least this boy or girl is not a stranger since you are associated together in church activities in your community.

If possible, get a date with whom you are already comfortable with. That’s why your friends are always the first in your list to be your dates, or your boyfriends and girlfriends for that matter. You can enjoy the prom and have more fun because your date is having as much fun as you are.

That is why there’s an advantage if you plan well ahead for the prom night. If you are eyeing one of your friends to be your date, go ahead and ask; don’t wait for somebody else to beat you to it. It would be better to ask early than waiting for a few days before the prom. That way, you would be more relaxed because you have chosen your date you wanted for the prom to enjoy and have fun with, making it one memorable event in your life.
