Loud Alarm Clocks for Deep Sleepers
By Jason Ladock | Miscellaneous | Unrated

We all cherish our sleep and we look forward to when we can get an ample amount of it. In fact, as humans we spend at least a third of our life sleeping. It is human nature to try to catch up on as much sleep as possible because we know that there will be plenty of times where we won’t be getting much of it. Then, there are those people who get too much of it and can still sleep for hours. There are two different types of sleepers, the light sleepers and the deep sleepers.

While the light sleepers wake up with even the slightest of sounds, it’s the deep sleepers that have the ability to sleep through even the loudest of sounds. You know you are a deep sleeper when you can quickly fall asleep in almost any condition and can continue sleeping throughout the worst of situations. Since you are more or less unaffected by sounds, you are always get to experience sound sleep and probably wake up in the morning feeling great and refreshed. Your quality of sleep ultimately is excellent.

While the life of a deep sleeper seems wonderful since he gets the best sleep, it is waking up that proves to be the sour part in this otherwise wonderful experience. When it is necessary to wake up, the deep sleeper might not be able to wake up on time even with an alarm set. You can try anything from splashing cold water to shaking the person, but it’s not always possible for a sleeper to be woken up by someone else. It is important to find an alarm clock that will suit the deep sleepers individual waking needs.

The tricky part to consider is that a deep sleeper has to combat reflexes. This means that he or she will wake up to unfamiliar sounds but can get back to sleep just as easily if they feel it was a false alarm. The idea is to have a loud alarm clock that keeps ringing until the sleeper wakes up. The more annoying and persistent the clocks alarm the better. The following are different types of alarms that deep sleepers should invest in:

• Sonic Boom Alarm: This kind of alarm clock emits a sound that is about 113 decibels. In simple terms this means it is roughly the same sound that would come out of a car horn in your ear. This alarm would do the trick of waking up a deep sleeper.

• Vibrating Alarm Clock: If the sound isn’t enough to wake up a deep sleeper, then a combination of gentle vibrations and a loud noise should do the trick. A vibrating alarm clock can be kept under the pillow so that the sleeper has no choice but to wake up. If he doesn’t hear the alarm he will definitely feel it. They are often called bed shakers.

The higher the decibel of the sound that is emitted from the alarm clock, the easier it is for the sleeper to wake up from his or her deep slumber. This is the key in finding the perfect loud alarm clock for the deep sleeper. If worst comes to worst it is easy to find alarm clocks that have vibrating and flashing light options. All three elements combined should be able to do the trick.
