The Benefits of Breathing Properly

We all want to be healthy and to get it even faster. We try different techniques and products which supposedly will help us achieve our goals. However, more often than none we fall flat because of a new marketing gimmick. To take advantage of your natural health and to utilize your body to the maximum all one has to do is to breath. Breathing properly is the world’s biggest hidden secret to better health. Its benefits are many and will prove to be beneficial on a long term basis as well.

Most of us just practice what is called shallow chest breathing, taking air in and out. We take it for granted that we are breathing properly. We just think it is a tool for survival and not something we should stress on to regulate our health. The ideal way to breathe would be to fully utilize the diaphragm and expand the belly when you inhale and contact when you exhale. This breathing is done through the nose and not the mouth. If this way of breathing is adopted, the benefits are endless.

1. The respiratory system: First of all, breathing properly benefits the respiratory system. This kind of breathing opens up the chest allowing you to breathe easier not to mention reduce the chances of getting asthma or bronchitis. Easier breathing also aids in fighting panic or anxiety attacks. Opening the chest will help strengthen your entire life force and will provide more mental clarity.

2. Natural pain killer: As a fact, deep breathing relaxes our muscles and is good for our usual neck and back aches. Instead of aspirin and other store bought pain killers, god breathing techniques can prove to be beneficial natural pain killers. It aids in joint pain and can help a person recover from exhaustion and fatigue.

3. Can partially compensate for lack of exercise: While this is not the easy route for lazy people to take, good breathing helps in digesting waste and encourages weight loss since it forces the body to move.

4. Clear mental state: Our daily schedules are bound to stress us out. Good breathing practices control the amount of oxygen we send to our brain. Since oxygen supports the immune system, our immune system is enhanced which enhances our mental acuity. Toxins like carbon monoxide are neutralized and we reduce the cause of falling sick greatly.

Ultimately, good breathing can also aid in getting good skin, mental relaxation and avoiding urinary problems. It will help reduce your daily stress levels since it encourages slow breathing and we will look forward to monitoring our breathing. It’s the simplest and most beneficial way to getting a good health. It slows down our heart rates and encourages us to have positivity in our lives. You will feel more energized and relaxed at the same time. The best part is that you have nothing to lose if you aren’t doing it correctly. It will only benefit you and does not have side effects like other techniques, health practices or medicines.
