Simple and Fast Hangover Relief

Headache and upset stomach, which are the major symptoms of hangover, can be easily overcome. You do not have to go to the drug store to get some over the counter drugs. You can obtain relief from some of the common household items. This article presents some simple and fast hangover relief tips.

Dehydration could be one cause for hangover. If you have some pop in the refrigerator, shake it well and have it. This will not only serve to dehydrate the body but also helps you to throw up and clear the stomach. If you do not have pop at home, you can go for a cup of coffee. Even a diet soda will do. The discomfort you experience in your stomach could be due to increased acidity. This can be overcome by having a toast along with honey. The sugars present in honey neutralize the acids present in the stomach and give relief. To avoid hangover, it is recommended to consume more amounts of water during and before drinking. If you are drinking huge amounts of alcohol on an empty stomach, you are increasing the chances of having a hangover.

In addition to replenishing the water levels in the body, it is essential to bring the mineral levels back to normal. Especially potassium, which is lost if you have drunk too much, this has to be replaced. This can be done by consuming a glass of orange juice immediately after waking up. Orange juice helps to replenish the fluid loss. You can even use vitamins such as B2 to reduce the effects of hangover. Vitamin C provides faster relief for hangover. You can reduce the effect of a hangover by having a stomach full of food before you begin the drinking episode.

Some people say that faster relief from hangover can be obtained by some sorts of exercises. This gives faster relief as exercising helps to eliminate the body toxins in the form of sweat. To prevent dehydration, it is recommended to have a certain amount of water before doing the exercise.

After you have adjusted your upset stomach, have a nice hot shower bath for at least fifteen minutes. This will help to get rid of toxins that have accumulated in the body.

Taking a rest plays a great role in reducing the symptoms of hangover. Sleep well, take plenty of water and have enough food, you will be able to overcome hangover very easily. If you are sleepy, you can take a rest by lying down in the bed with eyes closed. Take deep breaths to overcome the feeling of having muscle cramps. Meditation also helps to release toxins out of the body.

In an attempt to escape hangover after drinking too much, never take a pain killer. It is very dangerous to your health.

By practicing of the above given tips, you can very easily overcome hangover. However, most people cannot wait until the hangover develops and take hangover pills even before the symptoms of hangover begins. But, it is a wrong way to go.
