Optimize Your Natural Beauty With Olive Oil
By Michele L. Tune | Beauty | Unrated

With cold weather comes chapped lips, dry skin and brittle hair. But thanks to the healing properties of olive oil, these inconveniences can be easily and inexpensively remedied.

There are many ways olive oil can optimize your beauty. To heal cracked lips, dab a little on before going to bed. Apply it to any dry part of your body that needs moisturizing. You can also add up to ¼ cup to your bathwater along with a few drops of lavender essential oil for a relaxing soak. This will leave you and your skin feeling soft and beautiful every time – not to mention the added bonus of a good night’s rest!

Give your hair a nice treat by warming a few tablespoons of the oil. After applying, cover your head with a shower cap (a plastic bag will do) and leave on for about half an hour. (This is a great time to catch up on your reading.)

If you want to reap all of olive oil’s benefits, use it in your daily cooking. Make home-made vinaigrettes and/or drizzle it over your meals. Taking this healing oil internally actually changes our cellular structure so it’s a great anti-aging weapon. You’ll definitely enjoy the rewards as it emanates through your hair, skin, and nails. You’ll be beautiful, naturally.
