By Benjamin Wise | Pregnancy | Unrated

If your dream is to have a baby, it can be difficult to wait. No doubt you see other couples who seem to have no problems getting pregnant, and you may be wondering how they do it. Even if you have been struggling and trying to get pregnant for the past few months, there are many things that you can do to help improve your chances of getting pregnant. The following are just a few that you may want to try.

Tip #1 - Stay Healthy Yourself - One of the best things you can do to improve your chances of pregnancy is to keep yourself healthy. Be sure to keep a healthy weight, eat foods that are healthy, watch your stress levels, and exercise regularly as well. These good habits will be important if you want to get pregnant.

Tip #2 - Beware of Medications - Believe it or not, there are some medications that can make it more difficult to get pregnant. If you are trying to get pregnant then be sure to let your doctor know so he can help you avoid medications that may cause problems.

Tip #3 - Have Regular Sex - Having sex on a regular basis is one of the best ways to improve your chances of getting pregnant. Even if you are a bit off on your calculations of when you are fertile, if you regularly have sex you should hit the right time at some point, which may be just what you need.

Tip #4 - Preconception Planning - Some couples have difficulty getting pregnant find that preconception planning can help. This involves going to a doctor to get some help. Your physician may be able to take a look at your health and lifestyle and help you come up with some changes you can make to help improve your chances of getting pregnant.

Tip #5 - Using Ovulation Kits - As you probably know, the best time to get pregnant is during ovulation, but sometimes figuring out when you are actually ovulating can be difficult. There are now ovulation kits that can help you figure out when you are ovulating, and some of the better ones can let you know that you are almost ready to ovulate. For about $20-50 you can get a kit that can help you know the best times to try to get pregnant.

Tip #6 - Stop Smoking - If you are a smoker, then you are decreasing your chance of getting pregnant. If you stop smoking, you'll be more likely to get pregnant. You see, when you smoke the tobacco can actually make changes in the mucus in the cervix, making it more difficult for the sperm to actually reach the egg.

So, if you are trying hard to get pregnant, try using some or all of these tips. No doubt you'll find them helpful and hopefully about 10 months down the road you'll be able to hold that little bundle of joy you've been waiting for.
