29 Reasons to Quit Smoking

You know you need to quit smoking, but it is hard to convince yourself. Often when we have bad habits, we just don't like to admit it. Smoking is an addiction and is extremely hard to break. You will only be able to break it if you are motivated with a good reason or several good reasons. If you are having trouble coming up with one, try one of these:

1. You will live longer

2. You will save money

3. You will be healthier

4. You will have a better quality of life

5. You will lower your chance of having a heart attack

6. You will smell better

7. You teeth will have whiter teeth

8. Your fingertips won't be stained

9. You won't have the guilt of passing on second-hand smoke to your loved ones

10. You won't harm your baby if you're pregnant

11. You will be setting a good example to your children

12. Your car won't smell like cigarette smoke

13. Your house won't smell like cigarette smoke

14. Your skin will have less wrinkles

15. Less likely to die of heart disease

16. You won't have shortness of breath

17. You won't have a smokers cough

18. You won't feel weak and controlled by your addiction

19. You won't have as many headaches

20. Less likely to have a stroke

21. You won't have a bad taste in your mouth

22. You will have more energy

23. You won't have the guilt of what you are doing to your body

24. Your sense of smell will come back

25. Your sense of taste will come back

26. Less likely to have lung disease

27. It's easier to climb stairs

28. No more mess, smell, or burns on your clothing

29. Less likely to have cancer

The list could go on and on, but you get the idea. While these ideas are fresh in your mind, sit down and add to this list reasons of your own. Make these ideas personal and let them motivate you to stop smoking today.
