Since we live in a highly superfast age where ready to eat food and ready to go meals are the normal, so are our own life choices mirroring this trend. Ditto for weight loss plans. People are more concerned about becoming super slim in a super fast way. This quick weight loss craze has become the bane of the current generation which is majorly obese.
This has given rise to the crass commercialization of this trend and sprouting of several companies with miracle promising drugs which prove to be more harmful than not in the long run. In the short run, the crash diets may give noticeable results but more often than not they lead to diseases and an unhealthy body composition. Many people are not aware of this and end up making super skinny super models as their idols in their quest to achieve weight loss. They also opt to go for surgery or other such quick fixes when these are just temporary fixes made to blow up a lot of cash whereas the real long term results come from long term weight loss planning.
What Not to Consider
Never focus on the glitzy marketing gimmick of manufacturers of miracle drugs or weight loss pills or surgeries which guarantee to burn away fat forever. If one does not make lifestyle changes, the fat, even if removed surgically, is bound to come back manifold. Crash diets force one to starve and may make one slim in the short term, they actually rob the body of essential nutrients like vitamins and minerals and may even lead to diseases like heart problems, kidney problems, ulcers in the long run.
Have a look at why the crash or fad diets which give super quick weight loss results, should never be considered:
1. Forced to starve
Fad diets force you to starve and have diet pills which promise to crave your hunger and burn away fat. IN reality, skipping meals leads to weight gain in the long run since the body's metabolic rate slows down in absence of food and also leads to severe health problems like - sugar level problem in the blood, kidney functions are impaired and so on since the body does not get essential nutrients needed every day. Often people go on a fad diet and stop eating and lose a lot of weight just to bring it all back when they start eating again and that too in double quantity.
2. No exercise diet plan
Such diet plans which promise to make you lose weight without exercising are hogwashes and simply detrimental to our health which needs certain activities to keep functioning properly. It supplements a healthy diet in losing weight sensibly.
3. Promise of losing weight within a time frame
Only when one combines right eating with healthy living can one achieve weight loss and this is a gradual process depending on different body types and there is no way one can promise to lose a certain amount of weight within a certain timeframe. Only fad diets can do this and they are highly unhealthy.
Thus opt for a healthy lifestyle and feeling good rather than going on a fad diet and losing weight quickly and becoming a skinny supermodel.
