One thing some people hate is when way too much internet or text slang is used in messages. For one the person you are texting may not understand you lingo and this could be confusing. If you text someone with something that he/she does not even understand then what is the point? It is always better to make sure the person you are texting has received the whole message and has understood each and every word.

Don’t Be a Pest

If you are texting someone and that person is totally ignoring you it may be because he/she does not share your interest. It could also just be that it is a bad time. Sending repeated text messages will quickly get old so make sure that you stop texting when you notice there are no replies coming. This is extremely important as you don’t want to come across as a stalker. Send one message and wait about 30 minutes, if nothing has been replied to you then leave it alone. That person will call or text whenever the time is right for him/her. If he/she does not ever reply or call back then move on you are wasting your time.

Be Subtle

You probably want to start your text flirting in a very subtle way. One that will make you appear to be witty and charming but not a total flirt. For example, you may say something as a joke and it can seem serious until the little winking emoticon is seen along side of it.

Always Check for Typos

Never, under any circumstances hit that send button until you are sure there are no typos and that your message is being sent to the right recipient. First of all sending a message full of typos makes you look kind of stupid and hasty, secondly sending your message to the wrong person could result in dire consequences depending on your circumstances. For these reasons always go through your message thoroughly before hitting send.

Be Quick With Your Replies

You want to be sure that the person you are texting back and forth knows that he/she is very important to you and that he/she has your full attention. If something comes up and you must stop texting for awhile then tell the person that you will be right back (brb). This way the person will never begin to feel as if he/she is being ignored. This is very important, especially if the person you are texting does mean something to you.

Keep in mind that text flirting is not the same as “sexting”. Keep your flirting as clean as possible unless you are already in a sexual relationship with the person you are flirting with. You do not want to come across as over-the-top horny or desperate. The goal here is to let the person know that you are into him/her.
